Could the shelf slime be mold?« Back to Previous Page

After the heavy rains last month, I noticed a strange musty smell in my bedroom closet. When I opened it up, I saw some discoloration on the wall near the floor, and there was a slimy substance on one of the shelves. Could this be mold? What should I do to address it myself?
