For humidity control, a small, plug-in dehumidifier is the most effective solution for an enclosed closet space. Look for a compact model with automatic humidity control (aim for below 55% RH) and a drain hose option or large tank. A rechargeable desiccant dehumidifier bag can also help, but requires frequent reactivation and is less powerful.

Improve air circulation. Leave the closet doors ajar whenever possible. If there's a vent in the room, ensure it's not blocked by furniture and is blowing air. For closets on external walls, even a small USB-powered fan running a few hours a day can disrupt the stagnant, humid air that mould thrives on.

Check for a deeper issue. That exterior wall could be a "cold bridge," where the air-conditioned interior meets the humid outdoor air, causing condensation inside the wall that seeps into your closet. This is common here.
