First, protect yourself. Wear an N95 mask, gloves, and eye protection to avoid inhaling spores or skin contact. Ventilate the area by opening a window and running the exhaust fan. Mix a solution of one part distilled white vinegar to one part water in a spray bottle. For stubborn mold, a dedicated mold remover or a diluted bleach solution (one part bleach to four parts water) can be used, but never mix cleaning products. Spray the area thoroughly, let it sit for 15 minutes, then scrub with a stiff brush. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry the area completely.
