Urgent: black mold near kids' room, health risk?« Back to Previous Page

My kids have been coughing non-stop since last month and I’ve just discovered what looks like black mold behind the wardrobe in our master bedroom, which is right next to their room. We live in a villa in Al Barsha and the room always feels a bit damp, even with the AC running. How quickly do I need to get this professionally cleaned before it seriously affects their health?

This is an extremely serious situation that requires immediate action. The non-stop coughing in your children is a major red flag and a classic symptom of mold-induced respiratory irritation or asthma exacerbation. The black mold behind the wardrobe in Al Barsha is almost certainly the culprit, especially given the persistent dampness you've described, which is a common issue in UAE villas due to high humidity and sometimes concealed condensation leaks in AC systems.

Mold releases microscopic spores and mycotoxins into the air that, when inhaled, can cause severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, and chronic coughing. Children are particularly vulnerable due to their developing respiratory systems. You should not attempt to clean this yourself. Disturbing the mold colony will aerosolize a massive amount of spores, potentially making the health situation for your kids dramatically worse and contaminating the entire area.

You need a professional inspection and remediation team immediately. We operate under strict UAE health and environmental guidelines. A certified inspector will conduct air quality tests to identify the spore types and concentration levels, assess the moisture source (which is critical to fix, otherwise it will just come back), and then execute a controlled containment and remediation process using industrial-grade HEPA filtration and antimicrobial agents.

Do not wait. For the health of your children, please call our emergency line for a consultation and to schedule an urgent inspection. We can be on-site in Dubai very quickly.
