After the rain last month, I noticed a slight musty smell in the basement of our apartment. It’s only when I open the closet that I see some discoloration on the wall, but it’s hard to tell if it’s mold or just a stain from water damage. We’ve lived here for 2 years and just noticed this, and we’re unsure who is responsible for fixing it—us as tenants or the landlord? Who should be addressing this issue and what can I do to ensure it gets resolved properly?
