A temporary fix like clearing the line with a vacuum is not enough. A certified HVAC technician needs to perform a full system clean, potentially hydro-jet the drain lines, and ensure the condensate pump (if present) is operational. For a permanent solution, they should apply an anti-algae treatment in the drain pan to prevent future clogs.

DO NOT just wipe the mold away with bleach! This will only remove the surface stain while the root colony remains inside the wood, and it will return.
