How to get a proper mold inspection for black spots?« Back to Previous Page

We've lived in our villa in Mirdif for two years and just noticed a few dark black spots appearing in the corner of our master bedroom, right where the wall meets the ceiling. It’s on an exterior wall and we're worried it might be getting worse with the humidity. I run the AC constantly but I'm not sure it's enough. What's the best way to get a proper mold inspection to find the source and make sure it doesn't spread?

Based on your description of a villa in Mirdif with black spots on an exterior wall-ceiling junction, a professional inspection is strongly advised. The Dubai climate, with its extreme humidity and the constant use of air conditioning, creates a high risk for condensation within wall cavities, especially on exterior walls where thermal bridging is common. What you see on the surface is often just the tip of the iceberg.

A proper inspection, as we conduct at Saniservice, is a systematic process. It begins with a comprehensive visual assessment to identify all visible growth and potential moisture sources, such as minor leaks or condensation points. Crucially, we then use specialized equipment including thermal imaging cameras to detect hidden moisture and condensation within the wall cavity that is not visible to the naked eye. To accurately identify the mold genus and determine the concentration of spores in the air you're breathing, we perform air quality sampling and surface swabs. These samples are analyzed by an accredited third-party laboratory.

This scientific approach is essential. It differentiates between superficial growth and a systemic issue, identifies the exact moisture source to prevent recurrence, and provides the data needed to develop an effective, targeted remediation protocol as per UAE standards.

For a thorough inspection and a detailed report on the source and extent of your mold issue, I recommend contacting our certified team. Call Saniservice at 800-MOLDS (800-66537) or email hello@saniservice.com to schedule an assessment.
