Need professional mold removal in Dubai apartment? Price?« Back to Previous Page

We've lived here for 2 years and just noticed black and greenish mold spreading along the grout in our master bathroom shower and on the ceiling. It’s in the Muraqqabat apartment and the room doesn’t have a window, so the ventilation is terrible. I’ve tried bleach spray but it comes right back. For a problem this persistent, should I just hire a professional cleaning company in Dubai, and what’s a realistic price range for them to properly treat and remove it?

Based on your description, this is a classic case of persistent mold growth exacerbated by the Dubai climate. The high humidity, coupled with poor ventilation in a windowless bathroom, creates an ideal environment for mold, particularly in the constant cycle of condensation from hot showers and year-round AC use. The fact that bleach failed is a significant indicator; it only bleaches the surface appearance and does not address the root cause—the hyphae (roots) penetrating the porous grout and ceiling material.

For a case like this in a Muraqqabat apartment, a professional remediation company is strongly recommended. DIY methods are insufficient and can often disturb the mold, causing spores to become airborne and spread. Professionals will not only remove the visible growth but also identify and rectify the moisture source, apply EPA-approved antimicrobial solutions to neutralize the colony at its roots, and most critically, implement engineering controls like HEPA filtration to capture airborne spores during the process.

Regarding pricing in Dubai, costs are dependent on the severity and square footage affected. For localized but persistent bathroom mold, you are likely looking at a range between AED 1,000 to AED 3,000. This would typically cover a comprehensive inspection, containment, professional-grade chemical treatment, and a post-remediation verification test to ensure the space is safe and mold-free.
