Need mold remediation company and cost estimate in Dubai?« Back to Previous Page

The grout between the tiles in my master bathroom in Jumeirah Village Circle has started turning black and green, and no matter how much I scrub with bleach, it comes right back after a few days. It's been getting worse since the humidity kicked in a couple of months ago. I'm worried it's behind the walls and I have no idea if this is a small job or a major one. Can anyone recommend a good company for mold remediation and give me a rough idea of what it might cost for a standard bathroom?

The black and green regrowth in your grout is a classic sign of active mold colonization, not just surface staining. In Dubai's high humidity, especially in bathrooms with constant condensation, mold roots deeply into porous materials like grout and can spread behind tiles.
For a proper remediation, you need a company that does more than surface cleaning. They should conduct a moisture survey to check for hidden dampness in walls, then remove and replace compromised grout/sealant at a minimum. If the mold is behind the tiles, the scope increases significantly. Reputable providers will use containment to prevent cross-contamination and provide before-and-after lab testing to verify the space is truly clear. Cost is entirely scope-dependent. A simple regrouting and resealing job for one bathroom is a different category than a full demolition if the wall substrate is affected. The only way to get an accurate estimate is an on-site inspection to assess the penetration behind the tiles. Any company you contact should be willing to explain their diagnostic process upfront. For a science-driven approach, look for those with their own microbiology lab, like Saniservice, as they can provide the documented proof of eradication that defines a successful remediation, not just a visual clean. |
