Need mold inspection company for Jumeirah villa and AC ducts?« Back to Previous Page

We've lived in our Jumeirah villa for 2 years and just noticed a patch of black mold spreading along the corner of our master bedroom wall where it meets the ceiling. It’s gotten worse since the humidity spiked last week, and I’m worried it’s behind the drywall too. Can anyone recommend a reliable and thorough mold inspection company that can also check our AC ducts?

That wall-ceiling junction in your Jumeirah villa is a classic spot for mold, especially with our recent humidity. The condensation from your AC's cold air meeting the warm, humid room air creates a perfect breeding ground. Given it's spreading and you suspect it's behind the drywall, a professional inspection is the right next step.

Look for a company that offers a comprehensive assessment, not just a visual check. They should use a moisture meter to map the dampness within the wall and a borescope to see inside the cavity if necessary. Crucially, any inspection must include your AC system, as it is often the source spreading spores throughout the house. The ductwork should be visually inspected with a camera and air and surface samples should be taken from key areas.

For a case like this, ensure the company you choose has its own accredited microbiology lab or a direct partnership with one. This is vital because the final report must identify the specific mold species (like Aspergillus or Cladosporium, which are common here) and provide spore count data from the air samples to gauge contamination levels. This scientific report is what separates a genuine inspection from a simple look-around; it's your evidence and your roadmap for any necessary remediation.

Any reputable provider will be transparent about their methodology and should be able to explain Dubai Municipality and DHA guidelines relevant to indoor air quality and mold remediation. Avoid companies that immediately quote for remediation without providing the diagnostic data first. The goal is to get a clear, lab-verified picture of the problem's extent.
